  • .edu.ng: for Nigerian universities only. Requires a copy of the Certification document OR Accreditation certificate to operate as a tertiary institution as issued by either the National University Commission, or the Federal Ministry of Education.
  • .sch.ng: Nigerian academic institutions only. Documentation required.
  • .gov.ng: requires a letter of authorization from the head of the Nigerian Federal Government institution applying for the domain name.
  • .net.ng: For Nigerian Internet Service / Telecoms Providers' infrastructure only.
  • Other .ng domain extensions not listed are unrestricted.
.tel .tel domains can only be used to publish contact information, not host websites
.travel For use by travel agents, airlines, bed and breakfast operators, tourism bureaus, and others in the travel industry. Registrants must be approved as being in the applicable community before registering domains.
